To Dongle or not to dongleIf your laptop doesn't have bluetooth than this is a no brainer - your are going to need a rf/bluetooth dongle to link up with your mouse. In my case my Dell XPS m1210 Turn your USB device on. Most USB devices will turn on automatically when connected to a Windows 10 computer or tablet, but some may require you to turn them on manually via a power button. Your computer may not detect certain USB devices if they're turned off. Check the USB device's battery. Mouse isn't working. If your M525 mouse isn't working, the problem is likely a lost connection. The connection between the mouse and the Unifying receiver can be lost for several reasons, such as: Low battery levels Moving the receiver from one USB port to another; Moving the receiver to another computer Ensure that the USB receiver is directly connected to your computer. Avoid using the port replicators, USB hubs, and so on. Change the USB port. Unable to pair the keyboard/mouse with your computer. Check the battery level. If the device uses the rechargeable batteries, ensure that the batteries are fully charged. Click on start, right click on computer, click on properties, click on device manager, click on the symbol next to Universal Serial Bus Controllers, right click on USB root hub and click on uninstall, remove all the Root Hubs and restart your computer, and then connect the wireless dongle to see if that works. Thank you. I have Dell Wk118 wireless mouse and keyboard which was connecting using dongle prior to Windows 11 Cumulative Update for 21H2. After update, mouse still connects fine but keyboard is no longer working. I can see the HID Compliant Keyboard under device manager, but it's not working i.e. keys are not functioning. unplug the receiver from your PC. Restart your computer. After the restart, make sure your mouse is switched OFF and plug the receiver back into your PC. Wait for 10 seconds and then switch your mouse ON. Once done, wait for 5 seconds. When I connect the (ps2) keyboard and (ps2) mouse directly to the dimension using the ps2-to-usb adapters, the keyboard is sensed through the adapter, but not the mouse. I have tried a variety of usb ports on the dimension, and I have switched the two adapters - the results have not changed. And a usb mouse in any of those usb ports works fine. eIkPooP.
